  • Funchal - 26 families (80 people) staying in RIF-RG3 ( Army headquaters)
  • Curral das Freiras - 3 families
  • Ribeira Brava - 4 families (20 people) in Tabua and Ribeira Brava
  • Santa Cruz - 6 families

Water Supply

  • Difficulties in water supplying in highlands in Funchal (Santo António and Monte)
  • Difficulties in water supplying in seaside areas in Funchal
  • In Monte we expect to normalize the situation this evening (21/02/2010)
  • Still having problems in supplying water in Curral das Freiras, Ponta do Sol and Ribeira Brava
  • Other situations already identified are being solved promptly

Electricity

  • Lack of electricity in three areas in Ribeira Brava
  • East centre of Funchal city (Campo da Barca - Anadia)
  • Curral das Freiras - 90% already has electricity

Accessibility

  • Madeira International Airport totally operational
  • Funchal harbour is conditionated for water supplying reasons

Accessibility outside Funchal

  • Campanário and Curral das Freiras desobstructed
  • East area of Madeira totally operational
  • Expres Way of Caniço to Camacha operational
  • West Madeira until Ribeira Brava operational however São Vicente is still blocked
  • Calheta conditioned
  • Closed schools in Funchal, Ribeira Brava and Câmara de Lobos 22nd and 23rd of February

Public Transportation

  • In Funchal - 17 routes are operational
  • In Caniço / Funchal and Funchal / Caniço - operational from Campo da Barca
  • East Madeira - SAM - totally operational
  • West Madeira - Operational until Estreito de Câmara de Lobos
  • Carreiras de São Gonçalo - Totally operational

Government Machinery (cleaning streams)

  • 65 machines
  • 180 trucks

In Regional Roads

  • 45 machines
  • 70 trucks

Municipal Councils Machinery (cleaning streams)

  • Ribeira Brava - 12 machines and 8 trucks
  • Santa Cruz - 20 machines and 8 trucks
  • Calheta - 6 machines and 4 trucks


Communications

  • Mobile phone connections with TMN and fix communications network functioning in a couple of hours in West Madeira (Ribeira Brava/Ponta do Sol and Calheta).
  • North Coast of Madeira Island in the afternoon of the 22nd
